    Good features and playback with a few quircks.

    This Blu-Ray player is a good deal if you are on a budget. With DVD Upscaling, BD-Live capabilities, and a easy to use menu system, it's a great player for anyone starting out or on a tight budget. The picture out of HDMI is crisp and clean, with few distortions that I could probably attribute to my LCD TV and not the player. Audio, for what I can test on, is also very clean. This player is QUIET, despite having a cooling fan in the back. It does have a few minor quirks, and lacks some features I'd like to see, however. The main thing is that it can be a bit slow to load discs and go through the menus on the titles. Also, despite having BD-Live capabilities, Sony didn't include memory to store it on, thus requiring you to use a USB stick or external hard drive to store extra features on. ...

    Sony BDP-BX2 Blu-Ray Player

    This is a nice, affordable Blu-Ray player. It's not got a cheap unit appearance, and has played every disc inserted thus far. It has performed in every way presented in the Sony literature. If you have a desire to have all possible bells and whistles available on a blu-ray unit, this is not the player for you. If you are looking for a super-cheap player, look elsewhere. However, if you want a mid-priced and dependable unit with excellent playback and picture clarity, backed by the top name in the industry, then take a serious look at this player. I chose to buy this player after reading reviews on dozens of the cheap-o units, and several on more expensive units.     blu-ray on e-bay

    i got a great deal on e-bay i've been looking at blu-ray for awhile and i found a nice little sony blu-ray and i bought a good price,it works great it was brand new and does a fine job with movies.my only thing after owning one is,the movies are kinda pricey and really with a blu-ray that upscales to 1080 you get a pretty sweet picture.that being said i really cant see buying blu-ray movies when the others look so good i think they need to take blu-ray another step further to really make a difference in quality,really most i've seen dont make me want to spend 25.00 or more on a movie ,cause once you watch it how many times are you gonna watch again..........happy hunting.......

    Awesome Product!!

    I really like the sony Blu-ray player because of its design and image quality. I also like the sound, very loud,so I can enjoy my movies with high quality sound. It also comes with internet connection so that I can connect to netflix or other programs that offer movies with a montlhy payment. You can also view your pictures by connecting your camera or sd card. Great Product, Higly recommended.A++++

    An excellent Blu Ray System

    This is what people have come to expect from Sony, hands down the top manufacture of high quality video products in the world, also the original developer of the Blu Ray technology. The ability to connect to the internet makes updating the Sony player a snap. You can use the USB port in the rear of the player to download and stream video from your computer. For instances downloading or copying movies or music from DVDs to your USB based memory device, like one of the new external harddrives where you can store up to two terabytes (2000 Gigabytes)or a simple thumb drive, then plug it into your Sony Blu Ray player, open and start streaming it to your TV or surround sound system and enjoy watching and listening to music and video like you have never seen or heard it before.
